For Atarde's Waterproof, we explored the sea as a refuge but also as an inescapable place where, if something bad is going to happen, it will.
The point is not to run away, but to learn how to face it.
For us, being waterproof means exactly this: being prepared for adversity so we can stay dry, even when the storm hits outside.

LÌ HANNO COSTRUITO UNA CAPANNA CON BASTONI, CORDE, SASSI E ALTRI MATERIALI DI RECUPERO TRASPORTATI A RIVA DAL MARE. NOI CI SIAMO SVEGLIATI ALLE QUATTRO DI MATTINA E ABBIAMO RIPRESO QUELLO CHE SUCCEDE SOLITAMENTE LÌ: UN FALÒ E DEGLI AMICI CHE CANTANO.
“Le Piscinette” is a place where Atarde and his friends spend their summer: there, they built a hut using sticks, ropes, stones, and other recycled materials washed ashore by the sea. We woke up at four in the morning to capture what usually happens there: a bonfire and a bunch of friends singing.

PER RACCOGLIERE I FEEDBACK, ABBIAMO TRASFORMATO UNA BOA IN UN'INSOLITA URNA ELETTORALE, UNENDO L’ATMOSFERA MARINA DELL’ALBUM E L'INTERAZIONE DIRETTA COL PUBBLICO.
Acting as the common thread and taking on the role of host was the "talking fish" (Antonio “Tony” Marello to his friends), an ironic and surreal presence that opened and closed every date.
The audience wasn’t there just to listen: every spectator received a dedicated slip of paper to jot down live impressions and vote on the tracks just performed. To collect people’s feedback, we turned a buoy into an unusual ballot box, bringing together the maritime atmosphere of the album and the direct interaction with the audience.

CON "TERA", INVECE, ABBIAMO ANTICIPATO L'USCITA DEL DISCO INTRODUCENDO L'ELEMENTO CHIAVE DELL'ALBUM: LE CUFFIE DA NUOTO, MEDIUM PERFETTO PER RAPPRESENTARE IL CONCETTO DI WATERPROOF E OSPITARE I TITOLI.
LA COVER DI “WATERPROOF” È IL CULMINE DI UN PERCORSO: GLI UNICI ELEMENTI CHE RIMANGONO IN SCENA SONO IL MARE, CHE SI PRENDE TUTTO LO SFONDO, E LE PERSONE CHE LO CONTEMPLANO.
We wanted the visual world of the album and singles to speak a shared language: analog, maritime, and nostalgic.
For "Piccola Ostrica" and "Palestra (cura di me)", we gave Atarde and his friends disposable cameras to capture moments throughout the summer. We then selected and edited the shots for each release.
With "Tera", we anticipated the album's drop by introducing its key element: the swimming caps—the perfect medium to embody the concept of Waterproof and host the track titles.
The cover of “Waterproof” is the culmination of this journey: the only elements remaining on the scene are the sea, which takes over the entire background, and the people contemplating it.
